Abstract
Theoretical calculations and experiments were employed to explore the complexation mechanism in a BiVO 4 –C 4 H 6 O 6 PEC fuel cell. The complexation site involved in the VB contribution of BiVO 4 is crucial for the energy release and conversion of C 4 H 6 O 6 .
