摘要
Black youth face marginalization at multiple levels, which can have deleterious developmental consequences. An important focus is the misrepresentation of Black emotional expression at the intersection of structural racism and clinical psychology. As efforts to incorporate anti‐racism in psychological care continue, there is a need to increase specificity to improve clinical efforts. The white hegemony for both boys and girls leads to the dehumanization of Black teens, which often leads to misdiagnosis and incomplete treatment plans.
