摘要
Evidence-based practice (EBP), which refers to the integration of clinical expertise and patient preferences with the best available research evidence, holds enormous potential to improve the lives of youth with psychiatric illness. However, since its origination, confusion surrounding the term EBP and its related concepts has pervaded the discipline. This chapter aims to explore the evolution of EBP, its controversies, and its components. This chapter also presents several frameworks that can guide the process of EBP in clinical child psychology as well as review leading resources available to support EBP in this domain. Finally, we highlight important future directions for advancing both the definition and reach of EBP. Ultimately, we hope to shed light on the past, present, and future of EBP in clinical child psychology.
