Research on Rolling Bearing Operating Life Based on Principal Component Analysis

In order to analyze the running state of rolling bearing, the principle component analysis is used to extract new parameters to analyze the running state of the rolling bearing. Firstly, the whole life cycle vibration signal of the rolling bearing is collected by using an acceleration sensor. Secondly, Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) is used to reduce the noise in the vibration signal. Then, the main components of the time domain parameters are extracted using the principle component of the denoised signal. And the main components are synthesized into new parameter indicators. Finally, under the new parameter index, the envelope analysis is used to analyze the signal classification. The results show that the new parameter index can divide the entire life cycle of the rolling bearing into four different operating periods, each representing a different bearing operating state.
