摘要
Introduction: Pituitary macroadenomas are tumors >1 cm and <4 cm, while giant adenomas are ≥4 cm. Both macroadenomas and giant adenomas have the propensity to extend into surrounding structures, such as the suprasellar and infrasellar regions. It is unknown if 22-Item SinoNasal Outcome Test (SNOT-22) scores are affected by adenoma size. The main objectives of this study were to compare preoperative SNOT-22 scores, tumor characteristics, and imaging findings among patients who underwent transnasal transsphenoidal (TNTS) resection of pituitary macroadenomas or giant adenomas.
