摘要
Orthotic insoles are a very crucial part of podiatric problem management. The critical parameters like plantar pressure distribution and Center of Pressure can be easily varied to assist in rehabilitating musculoskeletal deformities. In other food-related diseases like diabetic foot, the redistribution of plantar pressure is the key to preventing foot ulcers and amputations. The customization required in such scenarios is expensive and difficult to achieve through conventional methods like subtractive manufacturing. The ability to develop low-cost, high-quality products makes additive manufacturing a suitable option for fabricating orthotic insoles. This chapter focuses on state of art in 3D-printed orthotic insoles. The attempts by researchers for preventative and rehabilitation of orthotic insoles for musculoskeletal deformities and other diseases are discussed.
