The Front Cover shows the decomposition of amyloid fibrils (AF) by 1O2 generated via near-infrared excitation upconversion, which we named the AF decomposition cascade. An essential aspect of the AF decomposition cascade is the efficient generation of 1O2 directly involved in AF degradation. Therefore, we improved the upconversion quantum yield and the ratio of green (2H11/2 and 4S3/2→4I15/2) to red (4F9/2→4I15/2) emissions, which have a considerable impact on the energy-transfer efficiency of upconversion nanoparticles to photosensitizer. Consequently, the efficiency of the AF decomposition cascade was enhanced. More information can be found in the Research Article by Takunori Harada and co-workers.
