Wrinkles improvement in facial and periorbital regions with two different radio-frequencies from the same device head

Abstract Objective: To evaluate efficacy of the new and unique radio- frequencies (RF) poles on facial and periorbital wrinkles. Methods: Thirty-five healthy Chinese women with facial and periorbital wrinkles (age range 30-50 years) were enrolled in this study. Participants were treated with this device five times each week at home independently for 12 weeks. Four visits were scheduled during the trial (baseline, 28 th day, 56 th day and 84 th day). 3D topographic photographs of periorbital wrinkles were obtained and then analyzed by Primos CR. The facial images were captured by Visia-CR, Image-Pro-Plus image software was used to analyze wrinkles in facial areas. The clinical grade evaluation on horizontal neck fold was conducted by dermatologists based on the "SKIN AGING ATLAS VOLUME 2-ASIAN TYPE". Results: With the increase in treatment time, the wrinkles area and wrinkles area ratios of forehead wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and glabellar wrinkles decreased significantly. The data shows positive changes in crow's feet and underneath eye wrinkles after treatment, and the size of eye bags reduced. Besides, the skin color and firmness also significantly improved. Moreover, the scores in horizontal neck fold decreased by 10.14% on the 84 th day compared to baseline. Conclusion: This study shows that the home-use RF device equipped with a special electrode head can effectively reduce wrinkles in the eyes and face, as well as improve skin condition.
