摘要
The performance of a distribution network is hampered by the multiple hurdles that it faces. Many solutions have been put forth to ease these difficulties. The penetration of distributed generation (DG) is one of the options put forward to address some of these issues and boost the efficiency of the distribution network. To properly employ DGs, however, some type of optimization is necessary for their penetration. In this article, a novel Dingo Optimizer (DOX) was employed to optimize multiple DGs to improve the performance of the distribution network. DOX was used to tackle the network optimization problems that had been developed. Before and after DGs optimization, the power flow problems were solved using the existing power flow solution approach. The DGs' locations were optimized as buses 12, 25, and 30, and the associated optimal sizes were 916, 818, and 1046 kW, respectively. The real and reactive power losses were significantly decreased while the voltage profile of the network was greatly increased. Consequently, DOX is an effective optimization technique that can optimize DGs for increased distribution network efficiency.
