Abstract
This article aims to carry out a bibliometric survey of scientific works related to chemical and biological control of fungi in maize crops, highlighting the importance of using biological control in cleaner and more sustainable production. The search was carried out on Google Scholar, based on the keywords: “"chemical fungicide" + "maize"" and ""biological fungicide" + "maize"". It was observed that chemical control, as the traditional method, had 65 publications, 11 of which were selected (based on the abstract), whereas biological control brought 25 publications and 12 were selected, realizing that biological control is gaining each time more space, especially in integrated use with chemical control, due to environmental, economic and sustainable aspects. It should be noted that clean and organic production is increasingly gaining ground in the control of pests in corn, contributing to the environment.
