Transformable Metasurfaces Enabled by Twisting Induced Nonlocality (Advanced Optical Materials 8/2023)
Advanced Optical Materials(2023)
Abstract
In article number 2202363, Hongsheng Chen, Zuojia Wang, and co-workers reveal the nonlocal effect in twisted electric dipoles and demonstrate its capability of non-volatile transformation on scattering. The proposed polarizability circles theory can quantitatively analyze the nonlocal effect in this metasurface, indicating judicious spatial and spectral selectivity. The established wireless-controlled prototype verifies the reconfigurability for continuous electromagnetic response manipulation and beam steering.
