Abstract
Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs)-based materials exhibit great potential and effectiveness in addressing the carbon dioxide (CO2) challenge from capture to conversion. In this chapter, we identify the synthetic principles and the specific structural and chemical features of MOFs embedded with nanoparticles for CO2 capture and conversion (electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, and thermal catalysis). Some recent key advances are highlighted. Finally, the opportunities and challenges in the future development of MOFs embedded with nanoparticles are proposed.
