摘要
Psoriasis prevalence has been traditionally considered equal in men and women Nonetheless, recent studies have shown that psoriasis also presents sex differences, with a higher severity and prevalence in males . Therefore, we hypothesized that these differences may be partially explained by sex-specific methylation differences. To elucidate this, we propose to explore sex-associated differentially methylated CpG sites (DMS) in psoriasis datasets from DNA methylation arrays obtained from the repository Gene Expression Omnibus (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/).
