Study of Protein a Binding to Omalizumab and Their Application for Quality Control of Biosensor Substrates Silanization

The development of new biosensor systems is essential for express diagnostics of diseases. To create them, it is necessary to investigate and optimize the sequence of technological processes. Such systems can be implemented using biorecognition elements immobilized in the active region of the sensor. One of the key stages of this technology is the treatment of a glass substrate in order to form silanol groups on its surface for attaching analyte-selective ligands to it. This paper discusses the use of the “Protein A - Omalizumab” pair to control the quality of the silanization process. This complex was tested by capillary electrophoresis and demonstrated its binding on the treated substrate. Recommendations are given for modifying peptide aptamers in order to their effective immobilization.
