A network-structured architecture constructed by high-aspect-ratio TiB nanowires has been proposed and real-ized through boron-containing precursor shell-layer encapsulation on Ti particles and consolidation by spark plasma sintering. The in-situ derived TiB nanowires with aspect ratios up to 304.4 contribute to high strength (1318 MPa) and sufficient ductility (5.34 %) of TCMs.
