Gerir comportamentos agressivos em escolas: proposta de investigação sobre os efeitos diferenciais de intervir com alunos e com professores = Managing aggressive behaviors in schools: A proposal for investigating differential effects of intervening [...]

O comportamento agressivo contribui para o desajustamento psicossocial do adolescente e para climas escolares hostis. A intervencao para a prevencao e/ou diminuicao deste comportamento devera ser fundamenta em modelos teoricos solidos e adotar uma perspetiva holistica, que inclua o agressor, a vitima e o observador, nomeadamente o professor. Propomo-nos desenvolver, implementar e avaliar uma abordagem holistica a intervencao no comportamento agressivo em escolas, a qual incluira dois programas de intervencao, um para alunos e outro para professores, que serao aplicados de forma individual e combinada. Espera-se que a intervencao combinada traga efeitos mais evidentes por comparacao com as outras condicoes de intervencao e com um grupo de controlo em lista de espera. Este efeito refletir-se-a na diminuicao da pratica de comportamento agressivo por parte de alunos e na adocao de formas de relacao professor aluno mais assertivas e de maior qualidade, verificada do pre ao pos-intervencao e ate um follow-up de tres meses. Estes dados poderao contribuir para a disponibilizacao de formas de intervencao apropriadas a diferentes necessidades e disponibilidade de contextos escolares variados, com o fim ultimo de promover climas escolares e de ensino-aprendizagem seguros e saudaveis. Aggressive behavior contributes to the adolescent's psychosocial maladjustment and to hostile school climates. The intervention for the prevention and/ or reduction of this behavior must be based on solid theoretical models and adopt a holistic perspective, which includes the aggressor, the victim, and the observer, namely the teacher. We propose to develop, implement, and evaluate a holistic approach to intervention in aggressive behavior in schools that will include two intervention programs, one for students and another for teachers, which will be applied individually and in combination. The combined intervention is expected to have more evident effects compared to the other conditions of intervention and to a waiting list control group. This effect will be reflected in the decrease of practice of aggressive behavior on the part of students and in the adoption more assertive and higher quality teacher-student relationships, verified from pre to post-intervention and up to a three-month follow-up. These data may contribute to the accessibility of forms of intervention appropriate to different needs and availability of varied school contexts, with the ultimate aim of promoting secure and healthy teaching-learning climates.
