摘要
With their numerous ingredients, microalgae offer a promising basis as a sustainable raw material source for technical applications. The research project ALBINA (algae-based – biological – renewable) focuses on this resource to develop additives for lubricant applications. The objective is the extraction, identification and evaluation of substances from microalgae, which are intended to replace conventionally used additives in lubricants. In the first step, the new developed additives are tested in lubricants for metal cutting and forming, further lubricant applications can follow. The project is realized through interdisciplinary cooperation of five research institutes from engineering and natural sciences. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. The project is accompanied and supported by partners from the lubricant industry.
