Parameter identification of synchronous condenser based on sneaker optimization

Typically, a distributed capacitor is installed at the point of connection to improve the dynamic safety and stability of the power system following the integration of large-scale renewable energy. The dynamic parameters of synchronous machines provided by the manufacturers are often incomplete, and further identification is needed to obtain more comprehensive and accurate parameters. To address the difficulty and accuracy issues in identifying synchronous condenser parameters, a step-by-step identification method considering multiple time scales is proposed. Firstly, performing synchronous condenser parameters analysis under steady-state and transient conditions to obtain key parameters at different time scales, and determine the object to be identified. Secondly, a method is proposed to improve the accuracy of parameter identification by utilizing a multi-time scale approach and identifying parameters step-by-step. Then, the solution algorithm employed is the snake optimization algorithm. Finally, a synchronous condenser simulation model is built to obtain data for parameter identification.
