Abstract
High-speed power line carrier (HPLC) and highspeed radio frequency (HRF) technologies are playing an increasingly important role in smart grids. To address the current problems of complex smart grid network topologies and a wide variety of users, this paper considers the local communication scenario of multi-user downlink HPLC-HRF systems and proposes a resource allocation optimization method based on the asynchronous advantage actor critical (A3C) algorithm to maximize the throughput of HPLC-HRF systems. The superiority of the proposed A3C algorithm is verified by simulation using deep Q-learning (DQN) and double DQN (DDQN) algorithms as benchmarks, showing that the A3C algorithm can effectively improve the transmission rate of the system and the proposed resource allocation method can meet the quality of service requirements of users. For users with poor channel quality, the proposed algorithm improves user throughput over the maximum throughput algorithm by 16.94% and 14.18%, respectively.
