The genomic profile of high-grade serous ovarian cancer and its association with platinum resistance

Platinum resistance or sensitivity in high-grade serous ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal carcinoma impacts prognosis and treatment decisions. Identifying patients disposed to chemotherapy resistance to platinum therapy is a challenge. The aim of this study was to describe the molecular alterations of high-grade serous carcinoma by next-generation sequencing (NGS) at initial diagnosis and their association with response to primary chemotherapy.
