摘要
Background: Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid (MMP) is a chronic autoimmune sub-epidermal blistering disorder. Limited published data exists about comparative and overall outcomes by treatment. Study aims were to assess 1) response rates of single and multiple systemic agent treatment and 2) adverse event data. In our single institution retrospective study, patients >18yo diagnosed with MMP between 9/2011-6/2020 were included. Data regarding demographics, treatments, lab/biopsy results, disease state, response rates, and adverse events were collected. Response rates were classified as complete response (CR), partial response (PR), stabilization, non-response (NR), and failure. Of 166 patients (mean age=75; 62% female; 86% white), 124 had single-system and 42 had multi-system involvement of MMP. Ocular and oral were the most common systems. For patients treated with single- agent treatment, methotrexate (n=14) led to 21% CR, 50% PR, 7% stabilization, 21% NR, 0% failure.
