摘要
Background: Patients with metastatic melanoma can achieve long term survival, which has prompted inquiry into long-term psychological outcomes. Specifically, higher rates of psychological distress have been identified in patients treated with Ipilimumab (IPI), a commonly utilized monoclonal antibody agent in the treatment of metastatic melanoma.1 IPI has known irreversible effects on the central nervous system leading to anxiety and depressed mood. 2 However, few studies have reported on the actual prevalence of psychiatric disorders in patients with metastatic melanoma who were treated with IPI.
