Abstract
Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is characterized by Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) colonization, which correlates with disease severity and skin barrier dysfunction. Whether these features are seen in psoriasis (PS) subjects is less clear. Objective: To quantify S. aureus skin abundance and barrier function in PS and compare with healthy controls (HC).
