摘要
The flow behavior of molten steel in the mold of the thin slab continuous casting is complicated and the level fluctuates violently, which has a great influence on the quality of the slab. A multiphase transient model of thin slab mold has been developed to describe the asymmetric flow behavior of molten steel. The difference of flow field between three-dimensional and two-dimensional models was compared, and the influence of heat transfer and solidification behavior on the steel flow was discussed. The cause of the asymmetric flow of molten steel in the thin slab mold and its influence on the steel/slag interface were investigated. The effect of the SEN parameters on the deviation flow was analyzed by statistics the maximum deviation ratio and the deviation frequency. The results show that the uneven flow rate on both sides of the nozzle is considered to be a congenital factor of the deviation phenomenon in the mold, and the cavity structure of the mold is an inevitable condition for the asymmetric flow of molten steel. The deviation flow on both sides alternates aperiodically, and the interface fluctuation is the most severe in the transition stage. Optimizing the SEN parameters will reduce the amplitude and prolong the conversion period of the deviation flow, thus improving the stability of the flow field and the interface.
