Study on the Suppression Method of Closed-Loop Surge Current Considering Photovoltaic Integration

The reliability of the distribution network will be improved greatly by closed-loop. At present, a large number of distributed power sources are connected to the distribution network, resulting in changes in the voltage distribution. The characteristics of the volatility, intermittency, and randomness of the distributed power supply have caused greater pressure on the load regulation of the distribution network. Thus, this paper studies the impact of closed-loop surge current considering distributed photovoltaic integration. Firstly, the voltage distribution is analyzed considering the influence of large-scale distributed photovoltaic integration, which provides a theoretical basis for the integration node selection. Secondly, based on the impact analysis, an improved model is established for the closed-loop surge current calculation which considers the impact of PV integration, and the calculation formula of the closed-loop surge current is derived. Then, a strategy of surge current suppression is proposed by changing the photovoltaic integration capacity. Finally, the strategy is verified in IEEE 33-bus system based on MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results validate the performance and effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
