Abstract
The prevalence of obesity has dramatically increased worldwide in the past few decades. Moreover, obesity has important implications in terms of post-operative complications, surgical-related risk and technical issues. Our study aims at comparing the Robotic-assisted (RATS), Video-assisted (VATS) thoracic surgery approaches, and the open approach (OA) in terms of morbidity and mortality rate, technical feasibility and short terms oncologic outcomes in obese patients undergoing an anatomical pulmonary resection for early stages Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
