Abstract
Abstract In order to obtain the stress-strain relationship of the TA19 titanium at 10 −3 s −1 to 4100 s −1 strain rates, a quasi-static tests and a Split Hopkinson Bar were performed at room temperature. The Johnson-Cook model analyzed and the parameters in the constitutive equation are fitted according to the experimental data. SHPB tests of TA19 titanium at strain rates of 1100 s −1 , 2000 s −1 , and 3300 s −1 were simulated by using ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Comparison of experimental data with simulation data shows that the J-C model can correctly reflect the material properties of TA19 titanium within a certain strain rate range.
