Background Non-invasive models/surrogates for the hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) can be applied for ruling-in/ruling-out clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH) and thus, stratify risk in compensated advanced chronic liver disease (cACLD). Those surrogates include the ANTICIPATE-normogram based on platelet (PLT) count and liver stiffness measurement (LSM), and the von Willebrand factor (VWF) to PLT ratio (VITRO).
