Abstract This case discusses the typical presentation, evaluation, and management options offered to male patients with urethral strictures. It uses three case-based scenarios to highlight some potential outcomes and some key differences in the approach and decision-making processes. It reviews the anatomy of the urethra and the pathophysiology of stricture disease and how its management has evolved over the years. It also discusses prognosis and rates of success of intervention.
