Organization and magnetic properties of FePt nanoparticles deposited on graphene/Ir moiré pattern

In this paper, We have characterized the organization and the magnetic properties of FePt nanoparticles on such a moire pattern. We will first describe the formation of size -selected (typically from 2 nm to 4 nm) FePt nanoparticles by Low Energy Cluster Beam Deposition (LECBD) and the preparation of FePt/graphene/ft(111) samples. We will discuss the organization of such particles on specific sites of the moire lattice, as determined by grazing incidence X-ray scattering measurements (GISAXS technique) (figure 1) and x-ray diffraction performed at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) [3]. The deposited nanoparticles are sensitive to the moire pattern and we find that the resulting organization can be preserved up to temperatures around 700°C.
