摘要
Little is known about the feeding habits and prey items of many snake species, with very few works identifying vertebrate prey at the minor taxonomic level. Here are presented two new species of birds not previously recorded as preys of the tree boa ( Corallus hortulanus ) – the Gonden-Chevroned Tanager ( Tangara ornata ) and the Pale-Breasted Thrush ( Turdus leucomelas ), notwithstanding its decayed conditions, it was identified at the species level with the help of specialists and ornithological collections, demonstrating the need of more detailed studies on prey identification and collaboration with interdisciplinary researchers.
