Assembling Method-based Toolboxes for the Implementation of Industry 4.0 Technologies in the Digital Lean Manufacturing World.

This paper recollects the knowledge, experience, and common sense of Digital Lean researchers and consultants based on a set of open interviews that were used to gather and document their best practice approaches (including principles, methods, and tools) for the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies to assemble a set of method-based toolboxes for supporting Lean practitioners in the Digital Transformation initiatives of their shop floor main processes. The Digital Lean Method-based Toolboxes are structured as a collection of aims, targets, expected benefits, and go/no-go questions for launching or not a Digital Transformation initiative for a shop floor process, and a set of cautions, principles, methods, and tools if it is a "go" for increasing its chances of success.
