MR Microsurgical Suture Training System for Neurosurgeons.

Practice efficiency is an important issue in the medical field. In particular, neurosurgeons’ microsurgical suturing requires extensive practice leading up to the surgery. Given the busy schedules of both teaching and receiving, it is important to improve the efficiency of self-practice. To address this issue, we propose an MR microsurgical suture training system. Based on the opinions from neurosurgeons, we implement the training system for neurosurgeons using a video see-through HMD for close condition to usual setup.
