Calibration of varying MoS2 amount with dual fabrication GCN/CQDs for supercapacitor’s electrode and strengthening of the energy parameters

摘要
•2GCN/1CQDs/x% MoS2 composites are synthesized by a hydrothermal method.•2GCN/1CQDs/x% MoS2 composites are analyzed by characterization techniques and are used as electrode material for energy storage.•At a scan rate of 2 mV/s, GCN/CQDs/30 % MoS2 shows tremendous specific capacitance and areal capacitance of 445.4F/g and 431.1 mF/cm2 respectively.•The enhanced energy density and power density observed as 37.5 Wh/kg and 404.19 W/kg respectively, at a current density of 1 A/g.•The value of charge transfer resistance (Rct) and solution resistance (Rs) of (GCN/CQDs/30 % MoS2) were found 2.66 Ω and 2.22 Ω, respectively with an appreciable value of n (0.872)
