Abstract
•Four symmetric tris(γ-substituted-acetylacetonato)cobalt(III) complexes were studied in solution by 59Co NMR spectroscopy.•Correlation was observed between the quadrupolar coupling product and isotropic chemical shift of 59Co.•Rotational dynamics was highly sensitive to the molecular shapes of complexes.
