Abstract
This review focuses on modified electrodes with nanomaterial carbon black (CB) and their applications in electroanalysis. The production, characterization and electrochemical properties of CB are first described, following a brief comparison with various carbon electrode materials. Their importance in the preparation of (bio)sensors, significant improvements in the analytical performance are then addressed. Conclusions and perspectives on its use in electroanalytical chemistry are also discussed.
