Abstract
This research deals with various parameters associated with the hydrodynamics of an OWC device positioned over the stepped bottom. The problem is solved using the multiphase based CFD technique in "ANSYS Fluent software". A "piston type wavemaker" and dynamic meshing technique are employed to produce the incident wave inside the numerical wave tank (NWT). Further, "volume of fluid" procedure is implemented to produce the free surface in the NWT. The "free surface elevation" is analyzed in various instant of time. Contour plots of the dynamic pressure, turbulent kinetic energy and turbulent intensity associated with the fluid motion are provided. Further, the variation of the vertex average total pressure and vertex average y- velocity at the orifice on the OWC device's top wall are analyzed with respect to flowtime. (c) 2023 The Author(s).
