Apprentissage par la recherche et enjeux d’une formation à la recherche en soins palliatifs

Dix ans après la création du premier master recherche en soins palliatifs, et dans le contexte de profonds bouleversements sociaux et politiques sur fond de crise écologique et sanitaire, les acteurs appelés à poursuivre l’effort de formation à la recherche en médecine palliative et dans le champ de la fin de vie font face aux questions concernant la responsabilité sociale de la recherche, telle qu’elle semble évoluer, et aux questions éthiques posées par cette évolution. Apporter quelques éléments de réponses sur les enjeux en questions, par la contextualisation historique et épistémologique du développement de la formation médicale clinique en lien avec celui la recherche en santé et par un retour d’expérience sur l’enseignement des premières années du master recherche. Les enjeux de la formation à la recherche, portent sur la lecture critique de tout type de données scientifiques, la problématisation et la formulation d’une question de recherche pertinente et argumentée, et son ancrage dans un cadre épistémologique adapté. Il s’agit également de créer les conditions d’une recherche plurielle, interdisciplinaire et participative, assumant sa responsabilité sociale. L’effort de formation à la recherche en médecine palliative doit continuer d’enrichir une communauté de chercheurs actifs et s’inscrire dans des systèmes de recherche et de santé en pleine mutation. Il s’agit d’accompagner une forme de transition écologique de ces systèmes, à l’image de la société au service de laquelle ils s’insèrent, avec le souci éthique du respect de la vulnérabilité et de l’autonomie des personnes. Ten years after the creation of the first research master's degree in palliative care, and in the context of profound social and political changes against a backdrop of ecological and health crises, the players called upon to continue the effort of training in research in palliative care face with questions concerning the social responsibility of research, as it appears to be evolving, and the ethical issues raised by this evolution. To provide some answers to the issues at stake, through a historical and epistemological contextualization of the development of clinical medical training in relation to that of health research, and through feedback on the teaching of the first years of the research master's degree. The challenges of research training include critical reading of all types of scientific data, problematization and formulation of a relevant, well-argued research question, and its anchoring in an appropriate epistemological framework. It is also a question of creating the conditions for plural, interdisciplinary and participatory research, assuming its social responsibility. Training in palliative medicine research must continue to enrich a community of active researchers, and be part of research and healthcare systems undergoing radical change. The aim is to support the ecological transition of these systems, in the image of the society they serve, with the ethical concern of respecting people's vulnerability and autonomy.
