Limitations to copyright in the digital age, safeguards for users' rights, creativity and authors remuneration interests

The chapter looks at copyright limitations in EU law in the context of the digital market and its development. It emphasises the low degree of harmonisation and the low level of adaptability of EU copyright exceptions, both having significant consequences for the future. The article suggests the legalisation of certain legitimate uses and collective management rights (CRM) as possible solutions.
