Abstract
The vibration and rotation frequency of biological macromolecules are in the terahertz wave band, and the terahertz wave with a specific frequency can cause the resonance of biological macromolecules, thus regulating their functions. Potassium channels play an important role in the repolarization of action potential of nerve cells, allowing potassium ions to pass through the cell membrane specifically, thus maintaining the resting potential of nerve cells. Molecular dynamics simulation shows that 53.7 THz can promote the flow of potassium ions. In the experiment, it is found that 53.7 THz laser can affect the membrane potential of nerve cells and their responses to external stimuli.
