A Bitter-Type Magnet for a Low-Voltage Compact Gyrotron

Abstract
Compact gyrotron was supposed to be a promising continuous radiation source for industrial applications. Magnetic field system is one of the most crucial components for gyrotron operation. A compact gyrotron with a custom-designed magnet would be a promising continuous radiation source for millimeter-wave power applications. Gyrotron operated with room-temperature magnet and extreme low-voltage has been hugely significant in the industrial field. In this talk, the design and preliminary experiment of this compact gyrotron are presented. Both in simulation and experimental measurement, the length of the homogeneity region is 120 mm, and homogeneity $\Delta \mathrm{B}/\mathrm{B}$ is $\pm 0.9\%$ is obtained. Continuous emission test of oxide cathode is also presented for a low-voltage operation.
