The Measurement of W-band Pulsed Traveling Wave Tubes' Phase Consistency

摘要
The W-Band traveling wave tube (TWT) has broad application prospects in high-resolution radar imaging. The output power of a single TWT can't meet the application requirements. So it's necessary to adopt multiple TWTs as arrays. The phase consistency is a key parameter to determine TWTs' synthesis efficiency. In this paper, the phase consistency of three W-band TWTs is tested under the same condition for the first time. The test result show that the phase consistency of the three TWTs can reach
$\pm \mathbf{30}^{\circ}$
at 91–97 GHz, except for individual points. The test results make the foundation for the synthesis of multiple TWTs.
