摘要
Next generation of petawatt lasers are closing the gap between purely scientific and industrial machinery, presenting more stable pulse parameters, higher repetition rates and highly improved daily reproducibility of their performance. The HF-2PW laser of ELI ALPS [1] reflects all these aspects, on top of which shortening the typically available pulse duration below 20 fs is another important goal. The first phase in its performance ramping up process represents a new milestone in the world of user-ready petawatt-class lasers [2].
