Performance Evaluation of Enhanced DV-Hop algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network

The location of sensors is essential for the vast majority of WSN applications. We need localization schemes in WSNs to obtain where the information is obtaining Sensor nodes’ geo- graphical positions are determined using localization techniques. Sensor node position is advantageous for many network management operations such as routing, topology control, and security maintenance. The distance vector hop (DV-Hop) localization technique is a prominent approach in which dumb nodes collect information from anchor nodes to calculate coordinates, resulting in a high localization error. While calculating the hop value, multiple communication radii are used. A weighted centroid algorithm based on DV-hop decreases the localization error and computational cost. Flooding is limited up to t hops to lower energy consumption. Regarding localization error it decreases 50% of error, power consumption, and computational cost, simulation results and theoretical analysis show that the suggested enhance approach achieves higher accuracy than the traditional DV-Hop algorithm.
