Effect Of Physical Interphase On Magneto-Electro-Elastic (Mee) Composites Under Far-Field Loading

This article studies the influence of physical interphase on magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) composites under far-field loading. The analytical solutions for the coupled transverse magnetoelectric field and axial displacement are given for fibrous composites with generalized plane strain assumption. The effect of interphase between fiber and matrix is considered through implementing the fiber-interphase and interphase-matrix continuities. Numerical results are used to verify that the axial stress, transverse electric and magnetic displacement distributions of composite materials with good agreement. The effect of interfacial thickness on the internal fields of fibrous composites is also investigated.
