Wideband Transient Model of the Potential Transformer based on Two-port S parameters

摘要
Potential transformers are the only widely distributed voltage-measuring device in the power network below 110kV. However, limited by complicated parasitic parameters of the potential transformer, the transient voltage with rich frequency components cannot be precisely outputted. As the transient voltage is becoming widespread as the power networking is transiting into renewable and clean energy era, the wideband transient study of the power plants, especially for the voltage measuring device, is given the great importance. In this paper, a wideband transient model is proposed for the potential transformer. The impulse experiments along with the simulation on a 10kV potential transformer confirm the transient model.
