Design and Development of Compact In-cable Seafloor Observation Network Platform

摘要
Traditional junction boxes make the submarine observation nodes large and in high weight. The observation networks composed of such junction boxes have complex structures and are difficult to construct. This paper proposes an In-cable Submarine Observation Node (ISON). The main cavity of ISON adopts a miniaturized design, which can directly connect to the armored submarine cable. The observation network, composed of multiple ISONs and submarine cables in series, has a simple structure and can be deployed rapidly.
