Review on Transmission Line Importance Evaluation

Frequent natural disasters have caused great losses to power system. For the purpose of enhancing the post-disaster emergency repair efficiency of transmission lines and diminishing economic losses, it is highly meaningful to assess the importance of transmission lines. This paper summarizes research progress and status of transmission lines importance assessment, and the methods are summarized in the four aspects of network structure, operating state, entropy theory and cascading failure. Then, the paper lists the advantages and disadvantages of the four aspects of assessment methods and their application conditions. Finally, based on the above analysis, the future research directions of transmission lines importance assessment methods are prospected.
