Research on Interaction between Power Grid and 5G Communication Base Station Storage Energy

5G communication, as the future of network technology revolution, is increasingly influencing people's lifestyle. However, due to the high power consumption of 5G communication site, reducing power consumption and improving energy utilization is an urgent problem that must be solved. Because of the distinction between communication site standby battery and general electrochemical energy storage, this paper first discusses the issues of inconsistency between energy storage batteries and communication site aggregation, as well as collaborative scheduling when 5G communication site backup battery participates in grid interaction. Second, cloud platform technology is utilized to implement flexible scheduling of 5G communication site backup battery, allowing it to participate in power network operation and therefore improve the utilization rate of standby battery to reduce 5G communication site energy consumption. Then, by investigating the application of distributed standby battery, it is demonstrated that 5G base station standby battery can improve renewable energy absorptive capacity and contribute to system peak shaving and valley filling. Finally, using a typical daily power load curve of a region as an example, the optimal standby battery charge- discharge power of 5G base stations with different scales participating in peak shaving and valley filling is calculated in order to evaluate the effect of 5G communication site standby battery participating in peak moving and valley filling.
