Two-stage Robust Optimization Dispatching with Ultra-high Proportion of Electricity-receiving Based on Economic Operation Region Model

With the acceleration of the process of energy transformation, a large amount of electricity is transmitted across regions through interconnection lines, and some receiving-end grids show the characteristics of high proportion of electricity receiving. The definition of economic operation region is given from the perspective of multiple scenarios. Based on two-stage robust optimization, a modeling method of economic operation region is proposed, and its applicable scenarios are analyzed. The proposed model can be solved by nested column constraint generation algorithm. From the point of view of the flexibility of system operation, the characteristics of power grid operation under ultra high proportion of electricity receiving are analyzed. Case studies on IEEE-39 test system show that the proposed economic operation region can quantitatively and intuitively reflect the impact of renewable energy uncertainty on scheduling and provide guidance for economic operation. By equipping the system with energy storage and implementing price-based demand response, the consumption level of renewable energy can be significantly improved, which can greatly alleviate the problem of insufficient flexibility of power grid with ultra-high proportion of electricity receiving.
